REFUNDS

The throne does not have a fixed price. It has a value, and that value is whatever the last project paid for it. To take it you pay more than that. The very first boss paid the floor, $5, and it has only gone up since.

So when this page says a full refund, it means everything you paid — not a fixed amount.

Three of these happen on their own, without you writing to anyone. They exist because you can pay for something at the exact moment it stops being available:

• You claimed an empty throne and someone got there first. Two people can pay within the same second. One sits down; the other is refunded in full. Your payment is never quietly turned into something else you did not choose.
• You challenged a boss and the duel was already over. The boss died, the reign ended, or another challenge was already running.
• You defended your throne but the payment arrived after the 5-minute deadline. The duel was already decided.

These go back through the payment provider automatically. If one fails, it is retried, and it stays on our list until it is done.

You get everything you paid back if:

• We reject your project during review. You never went live, so there is nothing to have received.
• We remove you from the front page for a reason that is not your fault.
• We shut the site down before your reign starts.
• A failure on our side stopped your battle from happening properly — the site was down for most of it, your link was broken because of us, or attacks were not being counted.

Refunds go back the way you paid, and usually take five to ten business days depending on your bank.

Dying quickly is not grounds for a refund. It is the mechanic you bought.

A boss that goes down in twenty minutes went down because a lot of people came to kill it — which means a lot of people saw your product. That is the outcome the product is designed to produce, and the fastest deaths are usually the ones that get shared most.

A challenge that gets defended is not refunded either. This is the one worth reading twice. If you challenge the boss and they pay more to keep the page, they keep it and your payment stays with us. What you bought was the attack, and the attack is what forced them to pay. It worked — it just did not end with you on the throne.

There is also no refund if:

• You got fewer views, clicks or attacks than you hoped. We never promised a number.
• You changed your mind after your reign started.
• You lost the throne because someone paid more than you. That is the game. Your reign happened, it is in the archive, and it kept everything it earned.
• We removed you for breaking the terms — submitting someone else's brand, a misleading link, or illegal content.

Write to hello@internetboss.lol and tell us what happened. We would rather refund a borderline case than argue about it.

If you dispute the charge with your bank instead of writing to us, the bank fee costs us several times most payments. We will still look at it, but an email is faster for both of us.

One person decides, and the test is simple: did you get a real reign on the front page? If yes, the service was delivered whatever the result. If no, you get your money back.
