Your project becomes the only boss on the front page of INTERNET BOSS. While it is live it has 25 HP and stays up for a maximum of 24 hours. Every verified visitor can attack it exactly once, and each attack removes 1 HP.

The throne does not have a fixed price. It has a value, and that value is whatever the last project paid. To take it you pay more than that. The floor — what the very first boss paid — is $5.

Another project can take the throne from you. If someone challenges your reign, you have 5 minutes to pay more and keep the page. If you do not, they take it and your reign ends early. Defending does not heal your HP and does not restart your clock: the same reign continues exactly as it was.

You are buying participation in the battle: the front page slot, your brand and link on it, public metrics, and a permanent record afterwards. You are not buying an amount of traffic.

We make no guarantee of any of the following:

• A minimum number of views, clicks, attacks, customers or sales.
• That your battle lasts the full 24 hours. Most bosses die early. That is the mechanic.
• Any particular return on what you paid.
• That you keep the front page for the full 24 hours. Another project can pay more and take it.

A boss that dies in twenty minutes received exactly what was sold: a front page slot and the attention of everyone who came to kill it.

By submitting a project you confirm that you own it or are authorised to promote it. You may not submit:

• A company, person or brand that is not yours.
• A competitor, to mock or damage them.
• Anything illegal where we or our visitors are.
• Phishing, malware, or a link that changes into either after review.

Every submission is reviewed by a person before it can compete. We can reject anything, for any reason, and you get a full refund if we do.

If we discover a problem after your battle has started, we can remove you from the front page immediately. Whether that comes with a refund depends on why: a mistake on our side is refunded, a breach of these terms is not.

We filter automated attacks and count only verified ones. We cannot promise that every single attack came from a distinct human being: no site without user accounts can. What we can promise is that we do not add, remove or alter attacks ourselves, and that the numbers we publish are the numbers our database holds.

You keep everything you own. You give us permission to display your name, tagline, logo, screenshot and link on the site, including in the permanent record after your battle ends and in social images generated for sharing.

The record is permanent. Your battle stays in the graveyard with its numbers and your link. That is part of what you bought, and we do not delete it because a battle went badly.

This is an experiment. It can go down, change, or stop existing. If we shut it down we will refund anyone who paid and never got the reign they paid for.

We are not liable for indirect losses — lost sales, lost time, damage to reputation. Our total liability to you is limited to what you actually paid us.

If we change these terms, the version that applies to your battle is the one in force when you paid.
